Holy Family - Order FormWe are inviting all of our parishioners this Christmas to have an image of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph in their homes. This image can then be displayed in our homes throughout the year.
Why is it good to have an image and a devotion to the Holy Family? There are three great reasons to be inspired and seek the prayers of the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph. 1. An example of holiness. That our families are called to grow in love of God and neighbour. To help us place Jesus in the middle of our lives. 2. Openness to God's Will. Joseph and Mary always responded with a joy filled 'yes' to whatever God asked. The Holy Family helps us to say 'yes' to God even when we are unsure what God's plan might be. 3. Embracing suffering. No family is perfect (except the Holy Family!). All of our families at different times go through testing times. So did the Holy Family, fleeing for their lives, when Jesus was lost in the Temple, when Mary stood at the foot of the cross. The Holy Family teaches and inspires to keep going through God's grace.
